Our friend, Elena, relayed this remarkable story to us. Elana’s mother, Judith, who passed away in 1996, was a seed collector. After Judith was gone, Elena found multiple packs her mom had collected over the years—including a packet of Bentley Seeds collards from 1995. Elena sowed them, and all of the collards germinated! These packs have helped her family keep a very special part of their mom in their hearts and in the garden. Elena and Judith’s story truly touched us here at Bentley Seed. Collard Greens are long lasting greens that provide that zippy classic mustard green flavor!
Plant collard green seeds 1/4 inch deep in early spring. Thin seedlings 6 inches apart. Can be harvested throughout the growing season by removing outside leaves to encourage new growth. Great for container gardening!
