Such a great beneficial plant to have fresh from the garden! Cold-hardy with dark leaves, this heirloom spinach is delicious and packed with nutrients.
Growing Instructions:
As soon as the soil can be prepared, plant seeds 1/4" deep. Thin the seedlings to 12" apart. The seedlings removed during thinning are considered baby spinach and are delicious. Plant in early spring and again in fall, about 2 months before the first frost. When plants begin to produce a central stem with flower heads (bolting), pull them up and discard. This spinach is also great for container gardening.
