ABOUT BENTLEY SEEDS
Bentley Seeds began operations in 1975 in Albany, New York as the packet seed division of Lofts Seed Company. We moved to the rural village of Cambridge, New York in 1977 where we remain today.
The business went through two ownership changes previous to being solely owned by Lance Bentley, who along with his father, Ray Bentley, started the original company.
On Thanksgiving night in 1997, a fire destroyed all of our production, storage and office facilities. Through the combination of help from industry friends, the dedication of employees and just plain hard work, Bentley Seeds was able to rebuild and reestablish itself as a leader in the retail and promotional packet business.
The current facility includes an in-house graphics and printing department as well as a production department featuring state-of-the-art filling equipment.
Last year alone, Bentley produced almost 50 million packets of seed ranging from orders of as few as 100 packets to national programs of several million.
